قُلۡ هَلۡ يَسۡتَوِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَعۡلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَـٰبِ
Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition."
(Qur'an: az-Zumar: 39: 9)
For those who sincerely strive for truth and knowledge as students, they are called in Arabic "tulaab (plural) ; talib (singular)" which literally mean "seekers" i,e. those who seek after knowledge.
